1. HIDETO TAKARAI/ HYDE (VOCAL)



HYDE was born on January 29, 1969, in Wakayama, Japan. He is the singer for the Japanese rock band L’Arc~en~Ciel. Since HYDE keeps his personal information secret, much about him is either unknown or unofficial (including his real name, which is rumored to be Hideto Takarai, and his birthdate). He joined Tetsu to raise L’Arc~en~Ciel in 1991 after leaving another band called Jerusalem’s Rod where he was the guitarist.

2. TETSUYA OGAWA (BASS, BACKING VOCAL)



Tetsuya Ogawa (born October 3, 1969, in Osaka, Japan), known professionally as tetsu, is the founder, leader and bassist for the Japanese rock band L’Arc~en~Ciel. He does backup vocals, is one of the band’s primary composers and has also written lyrics for several songs (Milky Way, Perfect Blue, Bravery, Time Goes On and Hourglass). In the band, his name is ‘tetsu’ (All in lower case).

3. KEN ( GUITAR, BACKING VOCAL)

Ken, a childhood friend of Tetsu's, who'd abandoned attending university to join the band, replaced hiro on guitar.Ken is best known to international fans as the guitarist of L'arc~en~Ciel, though he's recently decided to give a solo career a try after a long career as a guitarist, and occasionally vocalist, in other bands. He's displayed his composing ability in both L'arc~en~Ciel, crafting beautiful tunes such as Kasou to the darker shinshoku ~lose control~, and Sons of All Pussys (S.O.A.P. for short). This latter group, formed with drummer Sakura (ex. L'arc~en~Ciel) and bassist Ein displayed an entirely different musical sensibility than L'arc~en~Ciel, leaning towards a rocker hard sound overall.

S.O.A.P. was also a new experience for Ken as he performed as the frontman for the band, both playing guitar and singing. When L'arc~en~Ciel, who had gone on hiatus in 2001, started anew in 2004, S.O.A.P. was put on hold. Two years later, Ken decided to truly go solo as some of the other members of L'arc~en~Ciel had previously. In August of 2006, he debuted with the single Speed. In December, he participated for the first time as a solo artist in the annual festival put on by the DANGER CRUE label as well as as a member of S.O.A.P..

While Ken seems to have put his solo activities on hold in order to concentrate on the slew of activities that L'arc~en~Ciel is up to this year, fans are willing to wait patiently in order to see what this guitarist will bring them next.

4. YUKIHIRO AWAJI ( DRUMER )



He was born in Chiba in November 24 of 1968, he was in a band named Zi:Kill and a band named Die in Cries before he joined L'arc en Ciel.
He meet Tetsuya for a common friend, they discover that they both love Neon Genesis Evangelion and that they had good chemistry.

Later when Sakura quit, Yukihiro was a support member and it was till 1998 when they release Niji that were decided that Yukihiro would be the new drummer.
